The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Chapter 118 - A Song Of Heart Break.

[My new book THe Villian is available now.]

As Long Jie\'s fingers caressed the piano a beautiful melody came to life. He stopped, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes, and slowly flexed his fingers, and a profound, slow, and gentle melody started playing.

What he didn\'t realize was that he actually began singing along with the melody his fingers were playing. Music is therapy. It\'s soothing. Drown yourself in music and find yourself.

?If you missed the train I\'m on

You will know that I am gone

You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles?

His voice was warm, gentle, and soothing yet it carried ache and raw emotions which he couldn\'t express in actual words. A film of his past was replaying before his eyes at a very fast pace. The good, the bad, the pleasant, the tragic every memory was playing before his closed eyes.

?A hundred miles, a hundred miles

A hundred miles, a hundred miles

You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles?

His voice was not only heard in the room but it escaped the four walls of the room and reached everyone\'s ears.

Mrs. Xie heard the melody and realized it was Long Jie who was playing the piano. What brought tears to her eyes was his voice. She was aware of the point that he played the piano but it was rare for him to sing. He was not a happy music player who usually played whenever he was troubled.

The anguish in his voice was not hidden from her. A sob escaped her mouth before she could control it.

? Lord, I\'m one, Lord, I\'m two

Lord, I\'m three, Lord, I\'m four

Lord, I\'m five hundred miles away from home

Away from home, away from home

Away from home, away from home

Lord, I\'m five hundred miles away from home?

Zhenyi opened the window to her room to welcome the unexpected yet beautiful melody and the singing voice accompanying it.

She was the most familiar with this voice. She didn\'t know what came to her when she walked out of the door following the music.

Her feet were walking on their own and she was getting carried away with them. She was dressed in her nightgown, her bare feet walking towards the last room on the second floor. Luckily, the sound was coming from the same floor where her new room was located.

The door was already opened and in the dim lights, a man was fiddling his fingers on the grand black musical instrument. His voice accompanying the melody eliciting from the piano. The combination was deadly and pure heartbreak.

?Not a shirt on my back

Not a penny to my name

Lord, I can\'t go back home this ole way

This ole way, this ole way

This ole way, this ole way

Lord, I can\'t go back home this ole way?

The moonlight fell on his face, highlighting his anguished and torturous facial features. The expression on his face was pure heartache, so agonizing, so unbearable that she wanted to touch his face and ask him to stop. Stop tormenting him, it was unendurable.

He was tormenting himself by playing this mourning tune. What had caused the commanding and bossy Long Jie to carry such torturing expression?

She just stood there watching him burn before her but she didn\'t like the way he burned. She wanted him to shine brighter than any sun in her sky and not to burn himself in the pyre of his suffering and past. She wanted to tell him that whatever had happened, it had passed and it would never return if he didn\'t allow it to.

But she just stood there and watched him. She watched him losing his hope and then discovering it by gracing his fingers on the notes. She watched him sinking in the dark and then coming out of it with a bright invisible halo. And at last, she watched him dying and then coming to life again with strength, vigor, and hope like a Phoenix rising from the ashes.

?If you missed the train I\'m on

You will know that I am gone

You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles

A hundred miles, a hundred miles

A hundred miles, a hundred miles

You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles

You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles

You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles?

As he played the last note, he opened his eyes to find the emptiness of the room but surprisingly his heart was not empty anymore, there was an unparalleled fullness. His eyes were not exhausted and tired, they were shining with renewal. Hope was surging in his veins along with a desire for better tomorrow.

He stood up and covered the piano once again and went back to his room. Sometimes, it seemed hard and difficult but never forgot after every dark night, there is a brighter day waiting for you. Even if takes hundred of years to pass that dark night.

Zhenyi came back to her room before he could saw her there because he didn\'t need her to pity him. He would always prefer to drown in misery than live with her pity.

Isn\'t it the saddest thing of all that he lost her when he was busy circumventing her pity which was no pity in the first place to soothe his ego?

This novel is a contracted work with W e b n o v e l . c o m (remove spaces). If you\'re not reading \'The Typhoon\'s Dangerous Wife \' on W e b n o v e l, it has been stolen. It\'s very heartbreaking to see pirates profiting from my hard work. Please support the original author,(tanu_sam).

The song\'s name is \'Five hundred miles\'. Those who know Hindi, you must have heard the song \' Agar koi baat bigad jaye...koi muskil pad jaye...tum dena sath near humnavaa.... The music is same. Well , the legendary Hindi song is inspired by this particular song. And if you ask me why this song? I dunno know. I really dunno.
